Whether you’re caring for a child, adult, or senior, these programs can help lighten the financial load and support you in accessing the care your family deserves.
Flexible Ways to Access Our Services
Private Pay
Our services are available on a private-pay basis and do not require participation in a government-funded program.
CDHCI
For eligible clients with approved home care services, we can provide direct billing through the Client Directed Home Care Invoicing (CDHCI) program, helping reduce out-of-pocket costs when authorization is in place.
FSCD
We are also able to direct bill approved Family Support for Children with Disabilities (FSCD) services, where applicable.
PDD
As a Qualified Service Provider, The Iris Project Inc. may provide PDD-funded services when approved through the individual’s PDD service plan and worker.
Some individuals may choose to use approved external funding programs (such as AHS Self-Managed Care)
to privately purchase support services when prior authorization is in place.
Eligibility and approval must be confirmed directly with the funding program before services begin.
Alberta Programs
CDHCI Program (AHS)
Receive funding through the CDHCI program to hire and manage your own care provider when standard home care services don’t meet your needs.
Ask AHS about home care assessments for personal care, respite, and homemaking supports.
Family Support for Children with Disabilities (FSCD)
Supports families of children with disabilities by providing funding for personal care, respite, community, and specialized services based on assessed need.
Ask your FSCD Case Manager about using funding for agency services and approved reimbursement options.

Persons with Developmental Disabilities (PDD)
Provides funding and services for adults with developmental disabilities, including community access, respite, and employment supports.
Ask your PDD worker about choosing The Iris Project Inc. as a service provider for approved supports.
Alberta Seniors’ Financial Assistance
Assistance programs for eligible seniors to help cover health-related or home support costs.
Alzheimer Society of Alberta and Northwest Territories
Provides information, education, and ongoing support for people living with dementia and their care partners at every stage of the disease.
Services include public presentations, dementia-awareness activities, professional workshops, and access to a public resource library containing books, videos, brochures, and fact sheets.

Federal Programs
Some federal programs don’t pay for services directly,
but it may help caregivers manage income or financial pressure while arranging support.
EI Family Caregiver Benefits
Provides temporary income support if you need to take time off work to care for a critically ill or injured adult or child.
EI Compassionate Care Benefit
Canada Caregiver Credit (Tax Benefit)
A federal tax credit for those supporting a spouse, partner, or dependent with a physical or mental impairment.
